Projects
Projects organize jobs and their history. They do not store credentials themselves. Remotes stay tenant-level and can be reused across multiple projects.
When to create a project
Create a separate project when you want a clear operational boundary, such as:
- one migration effort
- one customer or business unit
- one destination structure
- one reporting boundary
What belongs in a project
- the jobs that serve one operational purpose
- the run history for those jobs
- the project-specific naming and ownership convention your operators will recognize
Good project naming
Use names that make sense in the job list and run history without extra explanation. Avoid temporary engineering shorthand.
