Billing and Allowance

Live data movement consumes allowance. Planning and inventory modes do not.

What allowance affects

  • Run uses allowance
  • Dry Run does not use allowance
  • Scan does not use allowance

What operators can review

  • current allowance usage
  • purchased allowance
  • billing actions for additional capacity

Billing plans

MyGreat supports three billing plan states for a tenant:

  • Pay as you go: allowance is purchased up front from the Data Allowance page.
  • Monthly subscription: the tenant receives the monthly included allowance and pays subscription or overage invoices through Stripe.
  • Individual Pricing: the tenant works from custom commercial terms, usually including professional services, project assistance, migration planning, or workspace-specific invoicing.

Switching plans preserves the tenant's current remaining allowance. Pay-as-you-go top-ups are not shown while a tenant is on Monthly subscription or Individual Pricing.

Individual Pricing requests

Use the Individual Pricing card on the Data Allowance page to request a personal meeting. The request is stored for audit and sent to support. After custom terms are agreed, support can update the tenant to Individual Pricing.

For Individual Pricing, Stripe remains the invoicing system of record. Support can create or reuse the tenant's Stripe Customer, then issue manual invoices or arbitrary invoice line items for negotiated monthly charges, workspace-specific charges, professional services, or other agreed costs. Include tenant and workspace identifiers in Stripe invoice metadata so finance records can be reconciled with MyGreat activity.

Practical guidance

If allowance is exhausted, confirm whether:

  • the job really needs a live run now
  • a Dry Run or Scan can answer the immediate question first
  • additional capacity needs to be purchased before retrying
